Round steel link chains / anchor chains
A round steel link chain / anchor chain is the simplest type of chain (DIN 765, DIN 766, DIN 5685, etc.) in which the mostly oval links are directly interlinked. The ends of the rings are joined in a suitable way and the links then connected by butt welding or flash butt-welding. This process ensures a weld strength which corresponds to and even exceeds that of the base material. Round steel link chains are also made of stainless special steels.
